Ä¢¹½TV
Immersed in the vibrant metro Charlotte region, Ä¢¹½TV is a campus where century-old trees and brick buildings blend with a culture of innovation and an array of state-of-the-art facilities.
Ä¢¹½TV alumni describe how the college more than provided an exemplary education—it transformed their lives. The Ä¢¹½TV community empowers, inspires and educates people on how to understand their talents in light of what the world needs.
We are one of America's most selective liberal arts colleges, and academic potential, character, and accomplishments are the only factors considered in admission decisions—not your ability to pay.
At Ä¢¹½TV, we connect our students to immediate challenges across the globe, empowering them with resources, leadership skills and courage to lead and serve beyond the brick pathways of our campus. Students expand their interests through experiential learning and educational programming at the intersection of campus and community. Students collaborate with professors on research at home and abroad. Our extraordinary alumni network and employer database provide opportunities for internships, fellowships and careers.
Established in 1837 by Presbyterians of North Carolina, Ä¢¹½TV is a liberal arts college with a rich history and heritage. We've preserved the traditions that make the Ä¢¹½TV experience unique, while evolving to meet the needs of learners in an interconnected and rapidly changing world.
Ä¢¹½TV's close proximity to the city of Charlotte provides opportunities for civic engagement, professional growth, and recreation. Ä¢¹½TV students complete 73,000 hours of community service in the greater Charlotte community each year, and Ä¢¹½TV students continue investing in their community after graduation.
Ä¢¹½TV offers more than 200 student organizations, rich and robust arts programming, 21 Division I athletic teams, and a multitude of interests spanning culture, politics, entertainment, religion, diversity, and civic engagement. The question will be, not whether but, how many ways to get involved.
You will be surrounded by an inclusive community of scholars who are smart, driven and kind. It is a community that encourages critical thinking, dignifies hard work, and cultivates enduring relationships. The heart of our community is our campus, which serves as home to 95 percent of our students. Our students explore their curiosities and passions in and outside of the classroom. Guided by a vital Honor Code, our community prides itself on respect and trust.
